Where Can I Find A Crate?
Anyone.
Really, that's the answer.
The Period Crates are here for anyone who needs period products. There are no eligibility checks, referral forms or questions to answer. If you need something, take it.
Whether you've forgotten to pack products, are struggling financially, have been caught out unexpectedly or simply need a little extra support this month, the crates are here for you.
As much as you need.
You're welcome to take full packs of pads or tampons, not just individual products. We actively encourage people to take enough products to support their whole period, rather than only taking the bare minimum.
No.
There are no forms, referrals, or questions asked. The crates are designed to be discreet and easy to use.
Absolutely, we'd love your support!
There are lots of ways to get involved. You can donate unopened period products at one of our donation points, make a financial contribution to help keep our crates stocked, subscribe to Menstrual Mail, volunteer your time, or simply share our work with friends and family.
No.
The Period Crate is not currently a registered charity. We are a small, grassroots community project created by a group of people who believe that access to period products should never be a barrier to education, health, dignity or everyday life.
Although we are not a registered charity, we are committed to the same goal: reducing menstrual inequality and supporting people who need access to essential products.
Our crates are funded through a combination of personal contributions, community support and revenue from projects such as Menstrual Mail Club. We personally fund, stock and maintain the crates placed throughout Hull, ensuring that products remain free and accessible to anyone who needs them.
As The Period Crate continues to grow, we are always exploring ways to strengthen the project and expand our impact. For now, we are proud to be a community-led initiative built on care, compassion and the belief that small actions can create meaningful change.
